A promising history

Ben-Mor was founded in 1992 in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. The perseverance and dynamism of its 5 owners made Ben-Mor's activities very diversified today.

In 2006, Ben-Mor acquired Continental Cable located in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, USA. This affiliate company is an ISO9001 and AS9100 company which is essential when serving the aircraft industry. Also, Continental Cable is a qualified products list producer of MIL-DTL-83420 aircraft control cable as well as Federal Specification RR-W-410. With these qualifications, Continental Cable is now able to provide military and federal specification products for the aircraft and industrial markets.

The acquisition of Sling Tech in 2012, an Ontario based manufacturer specialized in the manufacturing of synthetic slings most particularly round slings, has confirmed Ben-Mor's positioning as a leader in the Canadian industry. The unrivalled expertise of SlingTech has propelled Ben-Mor at the top of the country's manufacturers.

Always attentive to its customers’ needs, as early as 2013, a new warehouse in Boucherville (Quebec) is added to the manufacturing operations to offer a much larger array of products (chains, cables, accessories, etc.).

In September 2017, Ben-Mor acquired two leading companies in the rigging and lifting industry: the rigging division of Saturn Industries located in Winnipeg (Manitoba) and Roughrider Rigging located in Regina (Saskatchewan) and Saskatoon (Saskatchewan). These acquisitions will allow Ben-Mor to expand its range of specialized lifting equipment with exclusive products.

With the addition of its distribution centre, plant and sales outlet in Calgary (Alberta), Ben-Mor can offer prompt delivery service throughout North America.

In January 2023, Ben-Mor acquired Fortune Rope & Metal situated in three strategic locations in the United States; Bristol (Rhode Island), Bensenville (Illinois) and Jacksonville (Florida). Fortune Rope is an industry-recognized supplier of aircraft cable, wire rope, chain, coated cable, stainless steel and galvanized, chain and hardware fittings to a wide range of industrial and commercial customers.
