Who is Nicole?
Former young girl from the lower St. Lawrence, I grew up in the beautiful small village of Rivière-Bleue. My father owned a bar, where I spent nearly 30 years of my life and eventually became the owner of the family business. In 2005, I moved to Saint-Hyacinthe, where I worked for 10 years at VIF Plastique as an assistant foreman and in quality control. Today, at 53, I am the mother of two beautiful daughters and the grandmother of five grandchildren.
How would you describe yourself in one word?
Analytical. I am a very curious person, always seeking to understand everything, which keeps me in a constant state of reflection to find solutions or improvements. The word empathetic also describes me well; I put myself in other people's shoes instead of judging them too quickly. I am sensitive, expressive, and very open-minded. Even my beliefs (which are the result of research) may seem quite incredible to some. I have a strong tendency towards truth, believing that everything can be said when approached correctly!
What is your position at Ben-Mor, and what are your duties?
I am a seamstress in the evening and have been a team leader for several years. In my daily tasks, I manufacture synthetic slings, ensure that customers are always satisfied, and serve as a reference for other members of my team.
What do you like the most about working at Ben-Mor?
Having a friendly personality, I find that the atmosphere at Ben-Mor suits me well. The human aspect is very present, and I don't feel treated like a number, which gives me confidence in the company.
How long have you been working at Ben-Mor?
I joined Ben-Mor on August 30, 2017; I will be entering my seventh year next August!
What are your favourite hobbies?
In general, I'm a fairly calm person. I enjoy reading as well as watching documentaries and biographies. Otherwise, I love music, especially when it comes to discovering new, lesser-known talents from other cultures or different music genres!
Do you have any hidden talent?
It may not be exactly a hidden talent, but I've always had a real passion for dance to the point of wanting to make it a career in my adolescence. I've also practiced gymnastics and martial arts (Taekwondo, red belt 2) in my youth!
