Who is Jenny?
My name is Jenny Richards, and I am from Desbarats / Sault Ste. Marie, in Ontario. I moved to Barrie in 2001 and have enjoyed living in this community. I pride myself on being dedicated to my work and love taking on new challenges.
How would you describe yourself in one word?
PROUD. I am a very proud mom of 2 children, and proud of the things I have accomplished in my life. I went to college in Sudbury to learn the trade of cabinet making. Although I didn’t stay in this field, I succeeded in making some furniture for my own home which I still have. I am also proud of the work I do here at Ben-Mor.
What is your position at Ben-Mor, and what are your duties?
I am currently an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator and I have from time to time filled in as a Team Leader. I am a hard worker and feel I get this trait from my parents. I like to work with my hands, and I also like to make sure my work is done well and in time to satisfy the customer.
What do you like the most about working at Ben-Mor?
I think the thing I like the most about working at Ben-Mor is being able to use my hands to create custom items I see used in many places!
How long have you been working at Ben-Mor?
I have been part of the sling industry since June 2008. It has been a SPLICE....
What are your favourite hobbies?
I enjoy working on small sewing projects at home, as well as working in my small flower garden. I also like to relax by watching my favourite TV shows.
Do you have any hidden talent?
I can call and talk to my dog Holly on the phone when I am going to be late getting home. I also like to bring her into work to see everyone.
